growing up we had hoop dreams

dirty pair of kobes and nike elite socks

laces hanging off the bubble strap

i had vince on my lock screen

those years we were raised by concrete and hardwood

trophy room full of and ones and deep threes

slides and limp paraphernalia

hoops taught me brotherhood hoops taught me love

hoops kept us all imperfect
